1967 Mattel Hot Wheels Custom T-Bird redline original Made in Hong Kong release. This is another ground up restoration that I made using old paint in the garage. This had a primer coat then a few hundred layers to scale of emerald green. I was trying to get that smooth finish look and it actually worked the second time I sprayed it. I was about to redo it and sprayed it again and this was the result. I added a black roof like the original, which turned out ok. When doing these I have to remember how there are so many imperfections in the originals. The black roof was sprayed with flat black testors model paint that is about 10 15 years old. Gotta love that old Testors spray paint, flat black was the one I used the most on the chassis of models.

I decided to not paint the taillights because they use the florescent orange and there was a small bit left so I am leaving it untouched.
